Winsted’s Heat Healthy Goals
With the support of our local partners, Winsted strives toward increasing residential energy efficiency program participation and in turn, driving progress toward healthier, more efficient homes. These goals track how many households are choosing cleaner heating options and energy-saving upgrades that improve comfort, reduce costs, and support a healthier community.

Specifically in Torrington, from 2017 to 2025, there were 265 heat pumps installed in Winsted, and there were 99 Home Energy Solutions - Income Eligible completed!

What is Heat Healthy Connecticut?
Energize Connecticut ℠ - programs funded by a charge on customer energy bills. Live Green Connecticut and local partners are participating in the Energy CT Community Partnership Initiative, sponsored locally by Eversource, to increase participation in energy efficiency programs.
As part of Energize Connecticut’s ℠ Community Partnership Initiative, Live Green Connecticut is implementing Heat Healthy Connecticut, a community-based outreach, awareness, and education initiative in four communities. This program is designed to help residents improve home comfort while reducing energy use and lowering monthly utility bills.
