With the support of our local partners, Torrington strives toward increasing residential energy efficiency program participation and in turn, driving progress toward healthier, more efficient homes. These goals track how many households are choosing cleaner heating options and energy-saving upgrades that improve comfort, reduce costs, and support a healthier community.

Specifically in Torrington, from 2017 to 2025, there were 1,233 heat pumps installed in Torrington, and 776 Home Energy Solutions - Income Eligible assessments completed.

What is Heat Healthy Connecticut?
Energize Connecticut ℠ - programs funded by a charge on customer energy bills. Live Green Connecticut and local partners are participating in the Energy CT Community Partnership Initiative, sponsored locally by Eversource, to increase participation in energy efficiency programs.
As a part of the Energize Connecticut ℠ Community Partnership Initiative, Live Green Connecticut is implementing Heat Healthy Connecticut, a community-based outreach, awareness, and education initiative in four communities in our state. Together, we can improve comfort and indoor air quality, lower energy costs, and reduce carbon emissions, one home at a time.
