Join us on April 28th as we work with other local organizations to combat global water issues. Tour the Westport state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant at 9am, or get hands-on by helping to clean our local waterways from 10am to 12pm. Stop by Earthplace between 10am and 1pm for lots of family-friendly water activities and a mini symposium on water featuring Dr. Andrew Hudson from the United Nations Development Programme and Twig Holland from Aquarion Water (starting at 10:30am). Finish your day at Wakeman Town Farms with workshops on living more sustainably.
9:00 - 9:45am - Tour of Westport’s state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility
10:00-Noon - Clean up local waterways at Riverside Park and Indian River Brook
10:00-Noon - Learn about trees and pick up a tree seedling at the Lillian Wadsworth Arboretum
10:00am-1:00pm - Come to Earthplace for family-friendly water activities and a mini symposium on water with Dr. Andrew Hudson and Twig Holland.
Noon-3pm: Head over to Wakeman Town Farms for workshops on solar energy, beekeeping, composting, and more!
